Admissions
LIS Lenana welcomes children from Reception to Year 3. Places are limited in some year groups, so we encourage families to apply early.
How to join
- Get in touch – call +254 728 663 764 or email info.kg@lis.sc.ke to ask about places and arrange a visit.
- Apply online – complete the application form and choose a preferred interview date.
- Meet us – your child spends time with our teachers for a friendly, age-appropriate assessment, and you meet the admissions team.
- Admission decision – we confirm the outcome and send the admission letter and fee details.
Age requirements

Children are placed by their age at the start of the academic year in August. We strictly follow the age groups in admission.
Documents required
- A copy of the child’s birth certificate.
- A copy of the report form from the previous school (if any).
- The leaving certificate or transfer letter from the former school (if any).
- Two passport-size photographs.
- Copies of both parents’ or the sponsor’s IDs.
- A copy of the pupil’s pass for non-Kenyan learners. Non-Kenyan citizens apply for the pupil’s pass at the immigration office after registration.
Fees
School fees are payable in Kenyan shillings, per term, and are billed in August, December and April. All fees are paid in full on or before the first day of each term. School and PE uniforms are not included in the fees.
Sibling discount on tuition fees for children at the Light Group of Schools: 2nd child 5%, 3rd child 10%, 4th and further children 15%.
A full term’s written notice is required for withdrawals; otherwise a full term’s fees are payable. The school reserves the right of admission.
