A contribution to the well-being of nature has been our mantra as we go green through a community service project undertaken by the entire LIS fraternity through the Adopt a Tree campaign.
And today at the peak of Ngong’ hills, our students and teachers planted trees for the betterment of the environment. Happy and elated members of LIS each with a seedling braved the chilly weather at the foot of the wind turbines to make the LIS memorial forest a reality, and indeed it has been made.
Special thanks go to the Juneja family for their generous donation of three hundred (300) trees!
We also extend our gratitude to our parents for their support and encouragement of their children to take part in this noble venture.
And we descended the hill echoing the words of environmentalist Andrea Koehle Jones, who said: “I’m planting a tree to teach me to make the world a better place.”
The LIS memorial park will be landmark reminder of the great contribution of we have done to the community and the universe!
