Light International School Shines at the 42nd EAMUN

On February 16th, 2024, students from Light International School participated in the 42nd East African Model United Nations (EAMUN) conference in Nairobi, representing three different countries across several committees. This prestigious event provided our students with an invaluable opportunity to delve into pressing global issues, advocate for solutions, and hone their skills in consensus-building and negotiation.

Event Highlights:

• Diverse Representation: Our students took on the roles of delegates from three different countries, engaging in dynamic discussions and debates on a wide range of international topics.
• Skill Development: Participation in EAMUN allowed students to develop critical skills in diplomacy, public speaking, and critical thinking, while fostering a deeper understanding of global affairs.
• Outstanding Achievement: A special congratulations to Emmanuel Miambo for being awarded the Best Speaker in the Political Committee. This accolade is a testament to Emmanuel’s exceptional debating skills, thorough preparation, and ability to effectively communicate and persuade.
