The Mombasa Open International Chess Championship was proudly hosted by Light International School, Mombasa, bringing together the Kings and Queens of strategy from far and wide. Chess enthusiasts and skilled players gathered in large numbers to test their mettle, challenge their opponents, and showcase their mastery of the game.

As the hosts, we were honored to field our best team, who represented us with skill, determination, and sportsmanship. It was a day filled with intense concentration, strategic brilliance, and moments of triumph, proving that chess is more than a game—it’s a celebration of intellect and perseverance.
