Our Little Safety Champions

Fire and Safety Week at LIS Lenana was all about keeping safe and looking out for one another.

Throughout the week, our children took part in fire drills, joined hands-on safety lessons and practised “Stop, Drop and Roll”. They learned what to do when the alarm sounds, how to leave the building calmly and why it matters to listen to the grown-ups in charge.

The highlight of the week was a set of skits the children performed themselves, dressed as firefighters, police officers and other community helpers, to spread fire safety awareness among their friends. Safety lessons stick best when children learn by doing, and our learners did exactly that.

Today’s little learners are tomorrow’s safety champions. Ask your child what to do in case of a fire – you will be impressed!
