From State House to the Wilderness!
The journey of our students from the Bronze Award to the Silver Award and eventually the prestigious Gold Award was nothing short of remarkable. These expeditions were more than just physical challenges; they were transformative experiences that shaped their character and abilities.
At their various campsites, our students learned the value of patience, honed their leadership skills, embraced collaboration, and gained the confidence to tackle difficult situations. They also acquired the wisdom to solve problems creatively—skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.
The pinnacle of this journey was the Gold Award ceremony, where the awardees were honored at State House by the President of the Republic of Kenya. Our very own Emmanuel Miambo delivered an inspiring speech that earned a standing ovation from the crowd and personal appreciation from the President himself—a proud and unforgettable moment for Light International School!
Meanwhile, a group of Bronze, Silver, and Gold participants embarked on their qualifying journey to Taita Taveta Hills from October 19th to 25th. They braved the challenging terrain and successfully reached the peak of Vuria Hill, the highest point in the Coast Province. This achievement was a testament to their resilience, teamwork, and determination.
Congratulations to all our participants for their incredible accomplishments. You continue to inspire us with your dedication and adventurous spirit!
