Light International School has a vibrant Business Studies Department whose members are guided by a clear and strong vision that embraces focus, hard work and resilience. We offer the following subjects: Business Studies, Economics and Law. As a department, we strive to ensure that we take care of the whole person of the learner in terms of mental, physical and spiritual nourishment. We disseminate environmentally sensitive knowledge to the learners and expose them to the great international experiences Light International School takes pride in participating in. Indeed, we bring out the very best from every learner to ensure that he/she becomes the best he/she can be.
The Business Studies Department has in place ‘academic clinics’ where teachers create time to attend to students on a one-on-one basis for the purpose of ensuring that those who need a little more assistance in their academic work get it. This has proved to be very useful as teachers are able to diagnose individual learners’ challenges and work out solutions together with the students.
In addition, we do have immense academic resources on which we draw for the purposes of ensuring we present academically competent individuals for examinations every year. We indeed can say with confidence that Light International School is the place to be if you are looking for diversity and excellence.
Staff:
Mr. Were David (Business Studies, Economics & Accounting, HOD), Mr. Makarios Nyarangi (Business Studies, Economics), Mr. Wambua Geoffrey (Business Studies, Economics), Mr. Ondieki Andrew (Business Studies, Economics) and Fredd Wakimani (Law).
