The 2017 edition of the World scholar’s cup Nairobi round took place on the 15th and 16th of February at the Light International School and Catholic University respectively.

The literary and social competition brought together over 550 students from 22 schools that manifested their prowess in the following areas, Collaborative writing, scholar’s challenge, the scholar’s bowl and team debates.

Our school was proudly represented by 40 students during the two-day event.

It was such an honor to have a great team that was highly disciplined and resilient in their undertakings during the competition.

This able team did in both word and deed carry the name of the school high by meriting to the next level-the global round. This year according to the competition organizers, there will be three global rounds from which the winners will choose from. The global rounds are as follows: Cape town, South Africa late June, Athens Greece Mid July and Hanoi Vietnam Mid-August.

Collectively a total of 65 medals were won, twenty-six of were gold medals in different areas of the many categories.

Notable among the participants was Yujin Angolio who merited for the debate showcase, where top performers met and proved to being the best among the rest.

We want to most sincerely thank our parents for their continued support in realizing this unparalleled success.

Our school has over the years been participating in the World scholar’s cup and this year it is our hope that it will be better with even more success achieved.
