28th of May 2016 will go down in history as a remarkable memorable day for the graduating classes of years 11 and 13.Our Senior students were crowned for their successful completion of their courses.
After a scrumptious cocktail served at the school lawn, our guests moved to the auditorium where the ceremony took place.
All the parties in the education sector felt on that day that it was indeed a happy harvest moment.
Song,dance and performances by LIS students rented the air as guests were treated to a high class entertainment befitting their esteemed status. The chief guest,Hon.David Were, the member of parliament for Matungu constituency and a parent at the school in his address hailed the vivid vibrancy of student participation in activities that nurture talent.
Mr. John G. Giturwa a representative of Yr 11 parents and Mr. Kenneth K. Rotich a representative of year 13 parents,thanked the school for its unique system and philosophy.Notable was the package of scholarship given to continuing students at the A level.
This years’ graduation saw the introduction of a new award category- The LoyaltyAward. This award is given to parents and the students for their long standing commitment and loyalty to the school as and education provider.Both the parents and students were called to receive the awards.
Top honors were given to the two students from each classes for their exemplary performances namely Joseph Francis of Year 11 and Brian NgatiaKibubii of Year 13.
Finally, the tempo rose to the much awaited climax where the students received their honors certificates and customized plaques embedded with their names as sign of graduating to the next level.The icing on the cake was when students and joined by their teachers posed a photo session and cap tossing moment.
We extend our heart-felt gratitude to our parents for entrusting their beloved children to us.
